SPRING NEWSLETTER 2015

The full newsletter is available from our stores at Hurst Community Centre on Sunday mornings, so this is just the list of forthcoming events.

10/04/15   QUIZ NIGHT                                  £6 per person.  Teams of up to 8 people
24/04/15.  ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING.   Free!!
30/05/15.  COACH TRIP TO WISLEY.           £10 members, £15 non members
21/08/15.  SUMMER SHOW.                          £1 per exhibit. Cash prizes
05/09/15.  COACH TRIP TO HASTINGS.      £10 members, £15 non members
16/10/15.  QUIZ NIGHT.                                 £6 per person. Teams of up to 8 people.

Prices for the coach outings have increased this year, but they are still outstanding value for money. Please note, bookings will only be accepted from members in person at the Community Centre on Sundays until 26th April, after which telephone bookings will be accepted.

PLEASE come along to the AGM on Friday, 24th April at 7.30pm. The committee runs this society for you. We manage to keep it going, but every year it gets harder, and none of us are getting any younger!! We would really like your input. Any new ideas are welcome, and you can suggest what plants/sundries etc you would like us to stock.

SUMMER SHOW CATEGORIES

1. Tomatoes (all types)
2. Beans (all types)
3. Potatoes
4. Other root vegetables
5. Green vegetables
6. Cucumbers, courgettes, marrows, gourds, melons
7. Onions
8. Fruit (any)
9. Flowers (arrangements, vases etc)
10. Photos (taken in/of your garden in 2015)
11. Cake (any type EXCEPT fruit or chocolate)
